seasoning for paleo brower powder

Free Paleo Recipes #1

New in my Paleoness, I was making chili one night from scratch. I didn’t want to used any package, so I just threw some spices together – whatever made sense in my head at the time. Well, I think I have stumbled upon something pretty freakin’ amazing in taste . And the best thing is, I going to give the secret away – for free! Now coined Brower Powder, I use it to season:

  • Chicken breast – rub on with olive oil
  • Ground beef
  • Chili, obviously
  • Turkey burgers
  • Hamburgers

Initially I would make a small batch for each meal, but now I make it in bulk.  I buy in bulk from the grocery store so my garlic and onion powder is much more powdery than say the McCormick brand. But you can use whatever. Different brands may yield a different taste so you may want to play around with it and tweak it to your own tastes. But here’s the baseline:

  • Paprika – 1 tsp
  • Onion Powder – 2 tsp
  • Minced Garlic – 2 tsp
  • Cayenne Pepper – 1 tsp
  • Seal Salt – 2 tsp
  • Garlic Powder – 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp (trust me)
  • Fresh cracked pepper  – 1/4  to 1/2 tsp
  • Thyme – 1/4 tsp (i grind it up with my fingers to break it down)

Now if you make it in bulk, just use the same portions. I replaced the teaspoon with a 1/4 cup scooper.

Let me know if you try it and what you think – leave a comment below.  Thanks!
