[Author’s note: I have been using this cookbook more than any cookbook I have ever owned. The recipes are absolutely amazing. Try the lamb shanks on the cover and definitely the shepherds pie.]
I spoke at my first Paleo seminar yesterday put on by Strong Body CrossFit, a local gym. It was an amazing experience, but even more so because I had the honor and privilege of doing it with with Joshua Weissman, author of The Slim Palate. Josh is an amazingly talented individual who also shares quite the success story. Not only did he lose an incredible amount of weight eating Paleo, he did it all while going through high school – you see, Josh is only 18 years old.
After the seminar yesterday, I started flipping through his book that he graciously bestowed upon me. Expecting just to glance through this quickly and get a few recipe ideas, I quickly realized this is no ordinary cookbook. I was jaw-dropping-amazed at the photography, Josh does all himself. I would be extremely happy with this book even if it didn’t have recipes and was just a picture book, they are that amazing. Josh’s prodigy like talent doesn’t stop there, his brilliance really shines through on the actual recipes. These are mouthwatering beautiful high-end gourmet recipes.
I have gone through over 100 cookbooks and none of them stopped me in my tracks quite like The Slim Palate. I enthusiastically give this a two-thumbs up and highly encourage you to check it out.
